Press Conference by PBB Youth last night at PBB HQ.

“We want to make sure that there is a smooth transition that would benefit Sarawakians and make Sarawak stronger,” said the party’s Youth chief Datuk Fadillah Yusuf after a meeting with his leaders in Kuching last night.

He said they were dissatisfied with the comments that were made by Barisan leaders from the peninsula.

“It is very obvious from the results of the polls that the people have confidence in Taib to continue leading Sarawak. And the fact that PBB won all its seats shows that the people want Taib to stay as its president.”

Asked if he would ask the peninsula parties to withdraw their statements on Taib, he replied: “Who are they to question the mandate that has been given by Sarawakians.

“The focus now should be on giving good service to the people. We want to prove Barisan does not only serve the people during election time but all the time.”
